Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney is a barrister from the United States and Lebanon, a human rights advocate and philanthropist. She was born Amal Ramzi Al-Amuddin. She is a graduate of Oxford University School of Law as well as New York University School of Law. The length of her career has earned her international acclaim by her contributions to international law and the field that deals with human rights. The most prominent clients she worked with were national states such as Armenia, which was fighting for recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Amal Clooney got engaged to and married American actor George Clooney in 2014 instantly becoming a household name within the world of popular entertainment. Prior to this, she was already well-known and loved in the legal world for consistently representing her clients with skill and success. Her expertise ranges between social justice and human rights, to representing corporations in discussions or in court proceedings regarding the regulations of government.
